We are a family business. Daniel Wilson, CPA and CFE worked 4 years with Moss Adams, PLLC in the tax, audit, and consulting departments. Father-in-law, Bill Baker has provided tax planning, preparation, and representation services for 24 years as an Enrolled Agent. His wife, Tricia, is a full-charge bookkeeper, and daughter, Rachel, provides writeup services. Daniel's wife, also Bill's daughter, Ashley will be graduating from UNM in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and will also be joining the team.
We provide accounting & tax services for businesses, individuals, organizations, non-profits, and trusts. Additionally, we offer tax representation, compliance services, writeup/bookkeeping, payroll processing, sales tax filing, and financial statement preparation.
Mutual Domestic Water Companies has been a client of ours for many years now, and is a great example of the diverse services we offer. Our services range from billing, collections, payables management, business office functions, capital improvement planning, financing, and management, board of director support, reporting compliance, and audit management.
Most recently GMA has been acquiring other accounting firms (read more). Daniel, Bill, and their team are excited to continue building long term relationships with their clients and guide all of their offices with the utmost of integrity. They plan to offer new services related to tax strategies, asset protection, and wealth preservation.

Granite Mountain Accounting LLC has indeed experienced many exciting changes recently! In Fall of 2017, they acquired the assets and business of Messila Valley Accounting P.C. and Willman Certified Public Accountant.
Daniel Wilson and Bill Baker, GMA managers, were searching for a firm with a successful business model they could grow and build upon. They found exactly what they hoped for with Doug and Kathy Joens at Mesilla Valley Accounting P.C. They truly care for the success of their clients and have invested in training a dedicated staff.
Then Lisa Willman, of Willman Certified Public Accountant, caught their attention. Her devotion to her clients' success was quite evident by the deep relationships she had developed, not only with her clients, but also with her wonderful staff. Impressed with what they saw, Granite Mountain Accounting, made yet another acquisition.
Then, all of the sudden, after 25 years, they began to realize they were outgrowing their Flagstaff office in Arizona. In summer of 2018, they moved to a larger office they now call home.
The most recent addition is Lester Frank CPA. Mr. Frank and his staff, Richard and Caroline, will remain onboard. Beginning January 2019, all Mesilla Valley/Las Cruces accounting operations and staff will be in one office, located at 2990 N Main St Ste 2D, Las Cruces NM 88001.
